Marble Building Products

Rocom Technical Services offers Marble Building Products an ongoing install and maintenance service. It recently installed a new Siemens 3800 switch (40/50 extensions), which was recommended following an in depth analysis of the customer’s business needs.

We decided on the Siemens 3800 because we wanted a system that offered all the latest features and the ability to cope with our rapid business expansion...

At the time Rocom was the only installer offering the new 3800, with other suppliers still specifying the older 3700 series. It was also evident that some quotations were based on hardware sourced from Rocom’s catalogue. For these reasons it was decided to approach Rocom direct for supply and install. We also had a requirement to manage the system ourselves and Rocom was happy to facilitate this and assist where required.

installation was unusual in that the switch and associated equipment had to be installed in such a way as to allow moving the system into our new offices currently under construction. Rocom has worked with us to achieve this.

We had various problems with the timing of the transition to ISDN due to BT and I was impressed with the flexibility of the Rocom engineers to work to a changing timetable.

We find the system extremely easy to use, key to correct usage is to look at the display and press the “Tick” key if you want the phone to do what the display says!

Overall I am very impressed with the Siemens equipment, and the installation and ongoing service, and would have no hesitation in recommending the system and Rocom in general to anybody.
